85R- Nick’s Recital model is designed for for lighter situations with a more clear and forward articulation, but it does not sacrifice tone. More efficient than his Orchestra model due to its shallower cup.

85O- Nick’s Orchestral model is designed for a massive orchestral sound but maintains efficiency in all registers. This happens to be Nick’s favorite mouthpiece design thus far because of the easy transition to his contrabass mouthpiece.

Unlike many contrabass mouthpieces, Nick’s mouthpiece feels… well like a big trombone mouthpiece. Nick has been quoted saying, “(contrabass trombone) is an extension of the bass trombone, not just a musical chainsaw.” His signature mouthpiece allows player to get a more lyrical sound, but the smaller volume makes it much easier to get the edge when needed.
